Bald Knob is on the southwest end of Dolly Sods. It can be accessed from the wilderness area, but it is easier to access from Canaan Valley State Park at the ski resort. ;window.self.blur())

If you are familiar with Canaan Valley, you should be able to pick out Canaan Valley Ski Resort, Canaan Valley State Park and Golf Course, Deerfield Resort, Canaan Mountain and other landmarks. The hike up to Bald Knob from Cannan Valley is quite pretty, but the last couple hundred yards up the hill are very steep. |

I've been to Bald Knob more times than I can recall. It's one of my favorite places in Canaan Valley. I like the view so much that I got engaged at the top, sitting on a rock overlooking the valley.
