Tributaries to Red CreekThe Red Creek Trail (TR 514) winds up from Laneville passing a few pleasant streams like this one along the way. The trail never goes too far from Red Creek between Laneville and the Breathed Mountain Trail (TR 553) . |
Dark Sheltered CampsitesThis campsite is at the intersection of Fisher Spring Run (TR 510) and Red Creek Trail (TR 514) on the west bank. Many of the campsites along Red Creek are dark early in the evening. The Rhododendron doesn't help brighten things up. This picture was taken in April. If you continue up Red Creek Trail (TR 514) immediately above this campsite
(note that I say above instead of adjacent to) you will go up a very steep
section that intersects with the Rocky Point Trail
(TR 554). Turning right and continuing north on a very easy and gentle
railroad bed, the Red Creek Trail (TR 514) finally intersects with the Breathed Mountain Trail
(TR 553) at Red Creek Forks. Add Your Comments (0)
