Land Shaped by Beavers

Walking in a bog which was shaped by beavers is a fascinating experience. It is freqeuntly difficult to fathom the number of trees that these little beavers can gnaw off. The result of their work is backing up the streams and beautful bogs resulting


This bog lays south of the Raven Ridge Trail and Round Hilltop areas. Traveling through the area is frequently challenging due to the spongy ground and the fact that every third or fourth step will result in your foot going 18 inches deep. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful place to go, just don't plan for easy terrain.
