General Information

Access

Otter Creek can be accessed from the North along State Route 72. This will allow you to enter at the Dry Fork Bridge. You can also access the area from the town of Parsons near the Fernow Experimental Forest. Finally, you can access Otter Creek from the south end along state Route 33 near the town of Bowden.

Weather

In Otter Creek Valley it is frequently cooler than the surrounding ridges because of the cold mountain stream dominating the landscape. Be cautious of heavy rains in the area since a brief thunderstorm can dramatically alter the levels of the creek.
